| Historians believe that the people
that discovered making chocolate were actually
trying to make beer from the cacao. I'm sure
this will be debated, but one thing is for sure, chocolate and beer go very well together.
Lovibonds will be hosting the Henley leg of Petra
Barran's
Choc Star tour this Saturday April 26 for
our Beer and Chocolate Indulgence Day. |

Petra recently made an appearance on Channel 4's
Willie's Wonky Chocolate Factory, a show
that all of us at the brewery could relate to!
We will be trying to find the ultimate chocolate
pairings for all of our beers as well as serving
some goodies made with chocolate and Lovibonds beer.
Petra will also be sharing her full
menu of handmade
chocolate desserts and drinks. Come join us at
the
brewery this Saturday. |

| Beer Garden Open |

| I'm doing the final touches on this
newsletter from our beer garden, which is now
officially open during shop hours. Pints and
half pints are available from the tap bar.
Come and enjoy the sun with a pint of Lovibonds in
our secluded beer garden. |

| Lovibonds Dark Reserve No 1 |

| We still have a keg of Lovibonds
Dark Reserve on tap in the shop for sampling.
This strong version (7.4%) of Henley Dark spent the
last 6 months in whiskey barrels in our cellar here
in Henley. That time in the barrel has
contributed an amazing toffee character and has
really smoothed out the roasted edges of the Dark.
The official
release date is May 17th. You can
pre-order a bottle
here or in the shop.
Order while they last, there are only approximately
250 bottles remaining. Price is 9.00 per 75cl
bottle or 48.00 per 6 bottle
case. |

| Max Mason's idea was a restaurant
serving bangers and mash with very low food miles.
Max sources his sausages and vegetables from local
independent producers Max also supports local
craft breweries, recently adding our Henley Gold on
draught where it pairs very well with the
spicier sausages on offer. A shout out to
newsletter reader Simon for suggesting we got in
touch with Max...that won Simon a free Lovibonds
rugby shirt...if you think you know of a place that
